I know I haven't been blogging a lot lately, one is because I'm busy with school and two, I have nothing to say.... I'm either at school or at home...

9th Annual Vancouver Diversity Health Fair

I'm volunteering for the Diversity Health Fair this year and I hope you come and enjoy it as well!

There will be a cooking demo (free food sample!) and performances (Zumba, Cuban Salsa, etc), as well as food trucks (Soho Road Naan Kebab, Dim Sum Express and Guanaco Food Truck). We have translators and the Health Fair's goal is to spread the word about chronic disease prevention, especially to immigrants. In many cases, immigrants- or those who are not fluent in English- and their physicians cannot communicate due to the language barrier. As a result many have no idea what is going on with their health :(

If you cannot make it to the Diversity Health Fair, please spread the word.

I've asked my grandmother (she understands zero English) to tell her friends in hoping that they will have a better understanding on their health, and maybe even improve their health / lifestyle :) [ I promise I'll blog soon!! ><"" ]
